Manuel's Music Studio has served Perinton and the surrounding communities since 1980. We are "dedicated to the art and craft of music education", covering a broad range of musical styles and performance levels, which include: classical, jazz, rock, blues, folk, acoustic finger styles and forms branching from these music genres. Performance opportunities and ensembles are also offered during the year.
The ages of our students span from young children to adults. We are comfortable preparing students for the collegiate and professional level, as well as those not quite as steadfast in their goals. Some students seek preparation for involvement in jazz ensembles and school orchestras, while others pursue music for their personal enjoyment or to perform in their independent bands. Many of our students have gone on to pursue a variety of career options in the music field.
We provide a casual atmosphere in the formal training of students, with the goal of providing the blended elements of enjoyment, learning and fulfillment through the music lesson experience with us. Our programs and private study area geared toward the pace and individuality of each student.
Our talented instructors are experienced and qualified with many performing professionally in addition to their teaching. Some have performed extensively prior to teaching full time. Many have recorded individually or with bands, and some have been guests on notable recordings of other artists. The majority of instructors have been teaching at Manuel's Music Studio for seven years or more. The diversity of styles, quality of lessons and personal rapport with students and families are keys factors to our longstanding success in the community.
Our waiting areas offer comfortable seating, resembling the atmosphere of a living room in a private home. Many parents have told us that our waiting are provides the most relaxing part of their week.
Manuel's Music Studio now offers voice lessons!
We are excited about adding voice lessons to our lesson offerings. Many people have inquired about voice in the past few years, so we decided to add it to our lesson program.
Our vocal instructor is a graduate of Nazareth College. While immersed in a variety of music studies, her degree was focused studying vocal pedagogy and music history in particular. Amanda has been privately studying voice for over eight years, and she has also performed in various choirs for the past ten years. She has experience in many genres including classical, musical theater, and jazz. She also studied abroad in Berlin, Germany, where she took courses in music and completed an internship that allowed her to study different styles of vocal coaching. With a passion for music, she is excited to share it with her students.

Jazz Piano and Gospel Piano offered at Manuel's Music Studio
Jazz is a style that arose from African American communities, which mixes a blend of styles with its roots planted in the blues. Learning to improvise, construct chords as well as building on the knowledge of harmony and theory is an exciting approach to piano. Whether students are preparing to play in jazz band in high school or college, or just want to expand their performance capabilities - they will find learning jazz at our studio both enjoyable and rewarding.
Contemporary Christian and Gospel Piano
Students who are interested in playing keyboard or piano in their youth groups, churches, or just for pure enjoyment, will be able to learn how to play from chord charts, improvise and adapt to various styles of contemporary worship music.
